Once you have decided to have menus designed to distribute throughout the local community, your next challenge is learning how to get customers to choose your Chinese takeaway instead of a local rival. There are many tricks and methods which many use in the fast food industry to good effect. Here are a few:

The first thing you should really consider is how to make the design of the menu appealing.

One of the more straight forward ways of doing this is to use high quality images of your more popular, or in some cases specialty dishes in order to highlight them above the rest of your food. You need to avoid using generic clip art or poor quality images, otherwise it will have a negative effect on your menu.

Along with the imagery, it is important to really entice customers to order a meal from you. One of the most logical ways of doing this is to offer a discount of sorts. The discount doesn't need to be that great, but it will act as an incentive - especially if the offer is limited to a certain time frame. Usually these are in the form of vouchers or coupons.

Generally speaking menu printing and distribution is only effective with the right design which includes coupons, deals and other discounted rates. Discounts on popular food products will generally ensure that your customers will choose to eat in your takeaway or restaurant, instead of your competitors.

A menu which is offering discounts across a wide range of products will of course be far more appealing to those which do not - so it is a great way of attracting new customers to your business.
