This does two things: first off, it frees up your time to keep on schedule with respect to current projects and allowed you to truly understand what a particular client wants. It also forces the client to be extremely specific about what their project entails, which will again save you time when planning out its completion.

Now, some may consider this to be a bit impersonal, but consider it from the client's perspective: downloading and filling in proposal forms allows them to get an extremely clear picture of their needs and wants with regard to their project. It forces them to make a definite plan and to stick to what they've written down. It also saves them time as they don't have to go over the finer details time and again, instead allowing the form to explain everything. This, then saves both parties time and will also allowing the client to set a realistic budget for their particular project.

Finally, proposal forms have one other added advantage: they actually will lower customer acquisition cost, because unlike the old days where you went door to door and were in constant meetings, the forms now take a lot of the guesswork out of what a client wants and results in less meetings and less travel.
