Spring is a time to shed a few of the winter layers and have fun with your wardrobe. Play up your assets with various cuts of skirts, tops, and dresses in an array of colors and patterns. I will break down flattering and stylish ideas for different curvy body types.

Hourglass - this body type can pretty much wear anything (and look great in it) due to the its balanced proportions. Pencil skirts are made for the hourglass figure, accentuating the dangerous curves in all of their glory. Skinny jeans and leggings also look great with this body type. Show off your figure in a Spring hued fitted sheath dress. Add sas and accentuate your smaller waist by adding a belt.

Pear Shaped (aka triangle) - this beautiful body shape is a more prominent derriere and a slimmer upper body and chest. An empire waist dress or an A-Line cut skirt/dress compliment fuller hips and create balance. Choose a printed or bright colored top and a simple colored bottom to bring more attention to your upper body to offset your lower half. Look stylish in a maxi dress while minimizing hips.

Apple Shaped - this shape carries more weight on the upper body/mid-section and is complimented with styles that bring attention to the lower body and/or styles that create a waist line. For example, a blazer with structure and shape as well as a wrap dress can create a silhouette to create a more prominent waist line . Also, you can choose styles that minimize the midsection and accentuate another part of your body you like which may be your chest or legs. For example, you may want to dress the upper body in a darker color to minimize in or wear styles such as an empire waist top or dress which will mask a tummy. Also, try a tiered ruffle dress or blouse to look stylish while disguising a tummy.
