Squidoo is an awesome way to earn money, meet new people, and use as a link juice funnel to your own blog or website. To be most successful though, you need links to your Squidoo lens. There are a few ways to go about it, some easier than others, but it has to be done.

Squidoo uses the Yahoo Explorer tool to check for links. That is, it even uses some nofollow websites to determine the amount of links your pages have. So even though this will help with Squidoo rankings (perhaps, no one except the owner can be 100% sure), not all the links will help for search engine rankings. So how do we go about that?

I've been a member of the Squidoo website for roughly four years. Well, that's when I first joined. I actually didn't get interested until late 2008 and then once again had a re-newed interest in early 2010. Nonetheless, I have a web development and SEO background, so learning about how Squidoo finds and uses links comes easy. I've been able to make a list of websites which help give my lenses easy links. Here is a list of the 10 easiest links to come by for Squidoo lenses.

1) Squidu - Join and talk! Don't be spammy, just put your lenses link in the forum signature. Whenever you post, you'll receive a link.

2) Lensroll - This acts somewhat like a Digg or Reddit site specifically for Squid lenses. Join the site and submit your lenses.

3) Squidom - This site works much the same as Lensroll. Join and submit your lenses.

4) Squidup - Another like the last two. Join and sumit lenses.

5) Squidutils - They automatically add your lenses when you login as long as you have a popular primary tag.

6) My own blog - If you don't have a blog, start one. Use it to give updates about your Squidoo or write about yourself. Just get links for it and link back to Squidoo.

7) Mister Wong - This is a social bookmarking website. Although some of the links are nofollow, search engines still seem to look at it constantly. Anyway, it is easy to use, quick, and Squidoo counts the link. So use it.

8) RedGage - This is an article, image, and link submission website. Add your lenses as a link to get a link.

9) Xomba - This works pretty much the same as RedGage except you must provide a lengthy description. The link is well worth it and the site does provide some click-throughs.

10) Zimbio - This is perhaps the best, easiest link (besides perhaps your blog) you'll get. Search engines absolutely love Zimbio. The link juice is worth a ton!

There you have it! Now hopefully your lenses will be ranked higher. No matter if you use Squidoo just to make money, to have fun, or to send link juice back to your site, I hope you found this article helpful.
