All three is important and has to be interlinked so that when someone is searching for information with certain words the search engines pulls up those sites. It is believed that if ones site doesn't show up with the keywords in first 3 pages of the search engines, Your SITE DOESN'T EXIST. From manually generating link now the process have become automated.
