Some web design companies charge an outrageous amount for their services of creating a Custom Website for you. This can make many business owners turn to the "do it yourself" website services, with little more effort of finding an affordable web design company, that will customize a site specifically for you and maintain the appearance of professionalism.
I do recommend, especially if you have no or little, experience in web design, not to have your child or a friend of a friend, create a site for you. The chances are the site will not do your business a lot of good anyways, so you will make no money off of it and you will eventually have it redone anyways. That is if you are not so discouraged you turn away from having an online presence at all.
