One of the biggest problems faced with established websites is that there is plenty of traffic but not enough emails and telephone enquiries coming through. This leads to a low conversion rate of visitors to leads.

If you had one hundred people coming into your business each day and you only generated say two leads form this you would be very disappointed. You will never convert all of these people because a good percentage will be some who are just curious.

So this begs the question how do you create more enquiries? Ask yourself the following:

Are your contact details prominent on your website?

Do your details contain email addresses, telephone numbers and contact forms?

Is the only page with contact details on the contact page?

This may sound very simple but by having your contact telephone number and email within your websites header means that there is a call to action on each page. If a user is reading a page and wants to contact you quickly they will easily find your details on that page without having to search.

If you allow the user to simply click your email address bringing up their default email system there is every chance that they will enquire.

The more ways you can interact with your customer through items such as contact forms the more enquiries you will receive. If you also allow customers to comment on blogs you have made on the site it will give you some good feedback on your content.

With just a few simple changes you will find that your enquiries will go up because you have already done the hard part which is creating traffic.

You must always encourage users especially new ones to contact, whether this is by telephone or email because this way you are going to convert more sales either online or over the telephone. Simple little changes can make a massive difference to any website campaign pulling in customers that you had previously thought would not be contacting you. The internet is a great place to sell your services but always give careful thought to what it is you require from it, in this instance enquiries and sales.

If this wasn't originally planned into your current website at the start then it can be easily changed.
