Here is a real life example of the benefits of \'Just Being Good Enough\'. Just Being Good Enough is a concept I inferred from my favourite writer Malcolm Gladwell. In his book \'Outliers\' he makes the case, that for luck to have it\'s effect on you, you must take some action. However, that action does not have to be perfect, it only ever has to be \'Good Enough\'.

Here is a real life example of the benefits of 'Just Being Good Enough'.

Just Being Good Enough is a concept I inferred from my favourite writer Malcolm Gladwell. In his book 'Outliers' he makes the case, that for luck to have it's effect on you, you must take some action. However, that action does not have to be perfect, it only ever has to be 'Good Enough'.

A perfect example of this occurred recently on my blog. I simply added an opt in box for my new newsletter on the right hand side of my page. It was not the prettiest signup box, however it proved good enough, as within 3 minutes of me adding it, I acquired my first subscriber. Yep, within 3 minutes!

Ok, I had done some background work and quality articles to bring people to my blog, but the important thing to remember is that the longer I took to have a working 'opt-in' box on my blog, then the more subscribers I was losing.

Just that morning, I wrote a post on my accountability blog about 'my 3 tasks of the day', one of those tasks being to add an opt-in box. I looked around the internet for 15 minutes to find some fancy opt-in boxes before I stopped myself.

I always teach my students to complete one task at a time and get the important stuff first, yet here I was looking for a fancy design, when my first task should have been to get a working opt-in form on my blog, and then once I had everything working too consider making it prettier.

This has reminded me yet again, how right I am to always tell my students not to worry about something being 100%. Yes always aim to improve something until it is 100% but firstly make it good enough, that where firstly your energy should go, and then work on making it 100%

Too many people I know, have great products and services but get stuck trying to make the perfect plan or website. I hope those reading will be as excited as I am, that being good enough is all it takes to see results.

I have no idea how many subscribers I may have lost by simply not having a working opt in box on my site earlier, but I am glad I got a simple working version active when I did, or I would have lost even more subscribers.
