It can be risky if an internet marketer tries to play with assorted colors. Using dark and dense colors for your web site's background may not be the best choice for your web site. Even a black background that is stylized may look amazing, but it may not appear as such to other online viewers. To be precise, a dark background can leave the feeling that the site is in the shadows. This type of feeling by a potential buyer can create a distrust of the website. A good web design in tandem with color psychology can create a certain type of perception in a viewers eyes. Unless the products that you plan to sell on your websites are magical kits, books about magic, and other fetish things, a dark background on your website wouldn't send the right message across to your buyer.

Just like the dark colored background, an internet marketer should be careful about substantial textured backgrounds. Colored backgrounds made with marble, strip or burlap designs are not really legible. The reason is that it affects the eyes focus. The eyes would lose focus because the focus would be sent in so many directions that can distract the buyer. The goal of the internet marketer is to capture and send the visitor on their site tot he sales page. So if an internet marketer want to succeed in doing this, his/her has to avoid this type of background. A repeated word background can work, if the paint doesn't affect the text of content. The background logos have to be watermarked, and the text of the content shouldn't be on the watermarked logo. Distracting and confusing your visitor can frustrate them, and that can make them to hit the back button or the close button on the browser.

Lighter backgrounds are more appealing to the eye; and as a result they are easier to read. This doesn't meet that you are restricted to use only pastels on your website. You can employ gradients of color as long as the text is located on sections that has light background or made different with light or white backgrounds. You can think of this color as if you are a chef. Sugar is the accent, not the main taste of a coffee. Your background's color is the accent of your site, and not the main content of the site.

White background is good to use on your site as long as you have ample eye catching interest on the site. Great content, powerful headlines in appealing colors, pictures and other visual elements are the main role players against a white backdrop that does not compete with the product you are trying to sell. White color also permits you to deploy varying tomes of key colors so that you can emphasis on any part of your site.
