There are many reasons, but one of the most important reasons is that it allows you to create links such as hyper text links, also known as anchor links. These are essential if you want to build back links, so that you can easily incorporate them into your content.
If you are into affiliate marketing then you will also want to learn HTML, as you should know what the code is in your ads that you are putting on your website. This way you can check to see if your affiliate ID is incorporated, plus it allows you to make small changes in the code such as the size, color and other small things.
You may not think that these things matter, but once you learn the code you will be thankful and wonder how you ever did without it.
By learning the basics of HTML as well as CSS you will be able to create your own website from scratch, and you will have full control of the look and feel of the site. This is a great advantage because you can place your ads and your content anywhere you like, and it is well worth it.

There are many websites who are dedicated to helping you learn all the codes that you need to learn in order to create your website. W3Schools is where I learned all the coding which I use on my websites. They have a very thorough system which takes you through the material step by step. And best of all it is all free. They also have a forum where you can ask any questions should you need any help.
YouTube is also a great place to learn HTML because you can watch step by step tutorials on how it is done, and how the code works. These videos combined with W3Schools will give all the information you need to get started.
Learning HTML may seem very confusing at first, but if you start at level one, and work your way up as you learn new things you will find that it really is not that hard. It just takes a lot of time to learn.
