You can simply open a search engine (like Google or Yahoo.) You can also use internet explorer to make finding things more easy. To do this you will have to click on the arrow next to the search box to get you started. Here you will do most of the tasks related to searching the internet.
How to choose a provider?
You can use your favorite engine as your default provider. If you like more than one engine, you can make them all searchable and choose the default search engine. If you don't know how to do this I can help you. Steps you should take to choose the providers:
1. Click on the search box arrow and select the option to find more providers. A web page will open showing some web search engines and web sites that are searchable.
2. Click on a name of a provider and click add provider.
3. If you want to use more providers, just repeat the step 2.
How to choose a default provider?
It would be a bit too uncomfortable to use all your providers. That is why you should choose a default search provider. It will be used by the default when searching, if you won't select other providers. Here are the steps to choose a default provider:
1. Click on the arrow next to the search box and click on the change search defaults button.
2. hoose the provider you will use as the default and click set default.
3. You can also remove any search provider you no longer need by clicking on the remove button.
4. Click on the ok button to accept changes.
How to search from the search box?
Click in the search box and write the word you want to search for. It's important not use a question form when searching, since most of the question words (if, when, why etc.) are ignored. You will get better results if you make the word or phrase more specific.
After you have typed in the word in the search box, press the enter button on your keyboard. Results will appear where all the web pages usually appear.
If you want to search the same word, but using a different search provider, click on the arrow next to the search box and select the search provider you will use.
If get too far search results from your search, try to be more specific while searching. If you are looking for cheap health insurance plans, than do not use the word health in the search box. This will give too many results and most of them won't be usable for you. If you want to find a dog trainer, don't search for the word dog, but search for the whole phrase.
