There are many reasons that drive the computer very slow and degrade its performance to a great level. One of the main reasons for the degraded performance of the computer is a corrupt registry. When a new application is installed into the computer, its keys are registered into the windows registry so that the operating system can know of the presence of the installed application and accordingly it allocates sufficient amount of memory for it to carry out its tasks. When the application is deleted from the hard disk, the keys related to that application are deleted from the registry automatically.
Sometimes, the keys get corrupted and do not get deleted from the registry. This makes the operating system to think that the application is still there and it keeps on sharing the memory for that application. As a result of this, other applications are not able to utilize the freed memory and hence the computer becomes slow. A registry cleaning tool can easily solve this problem. It searches the windows registry for any corrupt, damaged unwanted registry keys. It then repairs or delete that key accordingly and the registry is then finally repaired. The memory can then be freed easily for other applications and the system's performance boosts automatically.
