Undoubtedly, if your computer has been using for a long time, you may find its performance and speed are lowering day after day. What happened? There is not any virus or software problem in it. In fact, your computer is piling a mass of junks day by day but you do not take it seriously.

Just imagine that if a warehouse is totally in a mess, is it able to restore anything? And, you have to take actions to clean it up, even empty it. In this regard, if hard disk, working as the warehouse in the computer, is rough-and-tumble, how does it serve to restore the data safely and ensure the high speed of computer as before? So, you should clean up the hard disk as you do to the warehouse.

What makes the hard disk in a mess on earth? Disk fragment should be blamed in disordering hard disk. Actually, they are called file fragmentation. As the name suggests, if the files are restored separately in the different the spaces of a whole disk, it takes excessive time for the system to read them. In fact, they are supposed to put as continuous clusters in the disk. If not, the redundant file fragments can lower computer performance without question, because system has to spend extra time in handling the file fragments. I am sure that you do not want such unnecessary files to hinder computer speed and even harm the hard disks.

You may have been familiar with the defragmenting program in the Windows, that is you can click "Start", point to "All Programs"-"Accessories"-"System Tools", and then you can choose to defragment the disk. Well, if time permits, it is all very well for you to choose the defragmenting program of Windows though it is really sluggish. Thus, many computer fans prefer to use other professional tools instead of being annoyed by this slow defragmenting speed.
